Personal Profile
Just like any business, Rusty Pines started out as a dream. A dream of creating and running my own business, being able to help the community to enjoy what they love doing most. The only issue was, in what way could I help the community?
That's where my passions came into the picture. A keen sports player who spent a large majority of his childhood weekends on a sporting field or out in the wilderness camping with family. With a love for the natural, picturesque landscapes of New South Wales. From the sandy beaches of Wollongong, to the Mountainous regions of the Blue Mountains and everything in between.
The concept was born to create a business that would create and maintain landscapes for families to use and enjoy. Thus Rusty Pine was formed
My Journey
2018
Leumeah High School
After 13 years of countless exams, assignments and tests, my schooling journey had reaches its end with the completion of my HSC. It was time for freedom and release out into the big open world of adulting and work.
2019-2022
Acreage and Retirement village caretaking
In 2019 I started my first job in landscaping. Duties of this job included care taking for a multi-million dollar acreage property in Exeter of the Southern Highlands as well as working in a crew to maintain the landscapes three different retirement villages. This was the job in which I underwent my Apprenticeship and furthered my education.
2019-2022
Apprenticeship - Certificate III in Landscape Construction
@ Ryde Horticultural Tafe
The beginning of my first landscaping job also signified the start of the furthering of my education. Attending Ryde Horticultural Tafe once a week for 2.5 years to learn the ins and outs of landscape construction, implementing them into practices on the worksite. The teachers here where incredibly helpful and the education a big step in my path.
2022-Current
Lawn Maintenance and Gardening
Towards the end of 2022 I departed my first landscaping job to start at a new company closer to home. Here I would really stride into form with my lawn and garden maintenance, caring for hundreds of homes across the Camden and Campbelltown council areas.
